Hobbit fever to take over Wellington
Wellington is preparing for an influx of Ring-bearers flocking to its shores after it was selected to host the world premiere of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
Opening on 28 November this year, the prequel to the Lord of the Rings trilogy is expected to fill up hotel rooms quickly, according to Positive Wellington Tourism chief executive David Perks.
“There is going to be a simply unmissable buzz pulsing through the coolest little capital in the world around the world premiere of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey in November,” Mr Perks said.
“Now that the date has been announced we recommend fans get booking their flights, tours and accommodation immediately to avoid disappointment.”
Mr Perks added that tourism opportunities would also be available pre and post-premiere, and said the city would utilise the opportunity to showcase its hospitality and innovation to the world.

How about a competition for best caption for this photo? Given the hot topic of the day something like:
“What are you doing at Mingle little operator? We agencies eat you people for breakfast!”
